Community Health Assessment
In November 2006, the Obici Healthcare
Foundation contracted with Community Health Solutions Inc. to conduct
a Community Health Assessment of the Foundation's service area.
The first component of the assessment is a summary of key health
demographic, health status, morbidity and mortality, and health
care access indicators in the individual communities that make up
the Foundation's service area. The second component provides the
result of a survey of local health professionals and community leaders
concerning their opinions about the top local health concerns that
need to be addressed.
This information helped the Foundation in the selection of our priority
grantmaking areas. You may find it helpful to you in putting together
your grant applications to this Foundation as well as other private
and public funding sources.
