Funds Available for Training

The Obici Healthcare Foundation supports and encourages training and education for nonprofit community groups in order to build capacity.  Toward that end, the Foundation offers financial support to grantees that want to improve skills and experience through approved training.  Please review the guidelines, complete an application and submit by regular mail, e-mail or fax no less than one week prior to training.

Nonprofit organizations who have never received funding from OBICI Healthcare Foundation also are eligible for financial support.  The Foundation has provided VOLUNTEER Hampton Roads with funds to use as tuition assistance for nonprofits.  This assistance is only for courses offered through VOLUNTEER Hampton Roads’ Nonprofit Resource Training Series.  Inquiries and applications should be directed to VOLUNTEER Hampton Roads.  Please use the VHR application below.

The North Carolina Center for Nonprofits is pleased to be collaborating with NTEN on a day-long workshop as part of our 2010 Conference & Public Policy Forum, Nonprofits in a New Reality. The conference will be held September 29-30 at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.

We’re reaching out to Members of the National Council of Nonprofits in the Southeast to invite your state association and your Members to attend the “We Are Media” workshop at registration prices reserved for N.C. Center and NTEN Members. That full-day workshop will be September 29 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Early Bird rate is $129 (deadline July 1) and the Regular rate is $149 (deadline Sept. 17). Following the success of the 2008 Tri-Cities Regional Conference, VANNO is organizing another event scheduled for Thursday, October 14. The goal of the conference is to bring nonprofit, private and public sector experts to the table to work towards regional collaboration.
